Log #002 Cost and Benefits (T)

Yesterday, i wrote about how people choose the more difficult process and benefit more from it. The statement where the more you give, the more you will benefit from. This statement is true to only some extent. Let me give you another view on this point (which is the whole point of this blog...).

When there are two paths available which is a straight road (easy to walk/more efficient) and a curvy road (harder to walk/counter-productive). Which one would you choose???

In a competitive environment like a workplace for example, the rule 'survival of the fittest' applies, we have to reach our goal in the fastest and most productive ways possible. The weak (those who lacks in competitive spirit) will surely be abandon, and only those who is strong (those who is productive and competitive) can survive. In this kind of environment, we have to work with the least cost (not necessarily money, it can be time and etc.) available, thus choosing the path on the left which literally you can save time and effort.

So, my whole point is, whether or not you want to go left or right, it all come down to the current environment/situation you are facing. Nobody can make a better choice other than yourself.
Log #001 : Cost and Benefits

Imagine two people on a crossroad, both leads to the same place, just that the one on the left is a straight and smooth road and the one on the right is curvy and rocky road. One took the left and the other took the right.

In the process, the one who took the path on the right had difficult times. He would trip on the rocks and fell, and sometimes he would bleed himself to the sharp rocks. At times, he even regret about taking this road. But in the end, he learn how to stand on his own feet and he became more durable than ever. What doesn't kill you make you stronger, eh?

The one who choose the path on the left had an easy day without a doubt. Butt, he hadn't learn much from his process. Yes, he reach his destination but he would without a doubt be a big-fat-dude.

Needless to say, sane people would chose the one on the left, mainly because it is a lot easier. But, if you ask yourself which on would bring more benefit in the long term, would you take the path on your left or right??

There is a principle i learn when i was young, when you want to receive, you must first give. There is always a cost to everything. Nothing is free in this world. The more you give, the more you receive -(although it don't always apply, but most of the time it does)-
